## Title: HR Assistant

About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated professional to join our HR department. The Human Resource Assistant will provide administrative and operational support, ensuring efficient delivery of HR services in a dynamic engineering and contracting environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in recruitment processes including job posting, shortlisting, scheduling interviews, and onboarding new employees
  • Maintain accurate employee records, both digital and physical, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with labor laws
  • Support payroll data preparation and leave management
  • Assist in implementing HR policies, staff welfare programs, and disciplinary procedures
  • Prepare HR reports, correspondence, and internal communication materials
  • Support performance management and training coordination
  • Handle day-to-day employee inquiries and provide administrative HR support
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements (NSSF, NHIF, PAYE, etc.)

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications and familiarity with HR Information Systems
  • Understanding of Kenyan labor laws and HR best practices

Experience

  • 1 to 2 years of relevant HR experience, preferably in a busy or fast-paced office environment
  • Experience in the engineering or construction sector is an added advantage
  • Those with internship exposure for at least 1 year may also be considered

Compensation

KES 30,000 - 35,000 plus company benefits
