Job specifications For appointment to this grade, an officer must have: - - Cumulative service period of twelve (12) years relevant work experience three (3) of which should have been at the grade of Principal Sociologist or in a comprable position; - Bachelor’s Degrees in any of the following disciplines: Sociology, Anthropology, Social Work, Development Studies, Community Development or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution; - Master’s Degree in any of the following disciplines: Sociology, Anthropology, Social Work, Development Studies, Community Development or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution; - Membership with the Kenya Institute of Social Work or any other relevant professional body/institution; - Leadership course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized institution; ; - Proficiency in computer applications; and - Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.
