## Title: Restaurant Manager

About the Role

Our client, a restaurant in Nairobi, is seeking an experienced Restaurant Manager to lead their team and drive operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and manage store staffing levels to maintain restaurant operational requirements; maintain daily staff attendance records with the HR department
  • Demonstrate a customer-first attitude by training employees and holding them accountable for delivering excellent service
  • Ensure Profit and Loss objectives are achieved or exceeded on a monthly basis; assign individual monthly and daily sales targets to service staff
  • Utilize management information tools and analyze financial reports to identify trends and address performance issues
  • Communicate clearly, concisely, and accurately with the restaurant team to ensure effective operations
  • Solicit customer feedback to understand customer needs and local community requirements
  • Handle customer complaints conclusively and ensure service recovery at all times
  • Use operational tools to plan for and achieve operational excellence, including employee rota scheduling, monthly status reports, quarterly business reviews, cash management, and inventory management
  • Actively manage restaurant employees through regular performance assessments, constructive feedback, and goal-setting to improve performance; involve the Human Resource Officer in all assessments
  • Recognize and reinforce individual and team accomplishments using organizational programs and creative recognition methods
  • Manage with integrity and honesty while promoting the organization's culture, values, and mission
  • Plan, identify, communicate, and delegate appropriate responsibilities
