Operations Manager

A reputable organization seeks a dedicated individual for this role. Industry: Microfinance  Location: Ngong Road – Nairobi  Remuneration: 70k Gross Key Responsibilities: - Manage, motivate, and lead staff to achieve set targets and performance objectives - Oversee and optimize the effective utilization of all company resources - Ensure customers are served efficiently and within agreed service timelines - Lead the development and implementation of company strategy and operational plans - Ensure the company maintains a healthy, high-quality loan portfolio - Build, manage, and grow a personal loan portfolio - Manage and strengthen relationships with key stakeholders - Ensure full compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and applicable laws - Drive the company toward sustained profitability and operational excellence - Prepare management reports and provide regular updates to the Board of Directors Requirements: - Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field from a recognized institution - Minimum of eight (8) years’ experience in lending and debt recovery - At least five (5) years’ experience leading or managing a credit department - High levels of honesty, integrity, and professionalism - Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills - Ability to maintain accurate documentation related to recoveries - Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and manage high-performing teams
