Job description
We are looking for a qualified candidate to fill this position.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Developing and executing operational strategies for hospitality service delivery;
- Leading the development and enforcement of service delivery standards and SOPs.
- Managing performance of hospitality units across all locations.
- Driving innovation in guest experience, digital hospitality tools and sustainability practices;
- Budgeting and resource planning for hospitality services.
- Coordinating capacity building and succession planning for hospitality teams.
- Leading the implementation of institutional customer service strategies.
- Monitoring KPIs and preparing quarterly and annual performance reports; and
- Advising senior management on trends, risks, and investment needs in hospitality services.
Job Requirements
- Master’s Degree from any of the following disciplines: Hotel and Hospitality Management: Event Management, Catering/Accommodation Management, Institutional Management, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Food and Beverage Production/Management and Service; Food and Beverage Management; Business Administration; Strategic Management or a related qualification from a recognized institution a recognized institution;
- Bachelor’s degree in any of the following disciplines: Hotel and Hospitality Management: Event Management, Catering/Accommodation Management, Institutional Management, Hotel and Restaurant Management; or a related qualification from a recognized institution.
- Fifteen (15) years relevant work experience three (3) of which should have been in a grade of Assistant Manager Hospitality Services or in A comparable position.
- Membership to a relevant professional body and in good standing where applicable;
- A valid practicing certificate where applicable;
- Certificate in leadership from a recognized Institution lasting not less than four (4) weeks;
- Proficiency in computer applications; and
- Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance results.
The successful candidate will be:
- Appointed on a 3-year contract renewable subject to performance.
- Required to submit clearance and compliance certificates from the following bodies after acceptance of the offer;
- DCI (Directorate of Criminal Investigations)
- HELB (Higher Education Loans Board)
- EACC (Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission)
- KRA (Kenya Revenue Authority)
- CRB (Credit Reference Bureau)
