Forklift Operator at Fargo Courier

Job Purpose

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the efficient operation of material handling equipment within Fargo Warehouses in Nairobi, Kenya.

Primary Responsibilities

• Maintain material handling equipment in good working condition
• Minimize equipment repair and fuel costs while reducing breakdown incidents
• Ensure efficient warehouse operations with quick turnaround times for material handling
• Operate forklifts, reach trucks, and hand jacks effectively
• Adhere to all Occupational Health & Safety standards
• Submit timely and accurate reports on fuel consumption, servicing, and incidents
• Follow vehicle and equipment maintenance schedules
• Comply with standard operating procedures (SOPs)
• Understand and respect all safety procedures
• Adhere to traffic rules and regulations
• Maintain 100% availability and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Support successful implementation of 5S methodology

Minimum Requirements

• High School KCSE Certificate (Grade C or above)
• Valid driving license
• 5+ years of heavy commercial vehicle driving experience
