Job Summary

Pursuant to Article 235 of the Constitution of Kenya, 2010 as read with sections 57, 58 and 58A(5) of the County Governments Act, 2012, the Selection Panel for the appointment of Chairperson and Members of the Kwale County Public Service Board invites applications from competent and qualified persons to fill the following positions:

• Chairperson of the Kwale County Public Service Board
• Members of the Kwale County Public Service Board

Terms and Conditions of Service

• Contract Duration: Six (6) years, non-renewable
• Salary: As set out by the Salaries and Remuneration Commission (SRC)

General Eligibility Requirements

All applicants must meet the following requirements in accordance with Section 58(3) of the County Governments Act:

• Satisfy the provisions of Chapter Six of the Constitution
• Not be a state or public officer
• Not have held office or stood for election as a member of Parliament or county assembly, or as a member of a political party governing body within the preceding five years
• Not be, or have been a candidate for election as a member of Parliament or county assembly
• Not hold or have held office in any political organization that sponsors or supports candidates for election as a member of Parliament or county assembly

Requirements for Chairperson

• Minimum qualification: Bachelor's degree from a recognized university
• Minimum working experience: 10 years
• Professional standing with demonstrated absence of breach of relevant professional code of conduct

• Minimum qualification: Bachelor's degree from a recognized university
• Relevant working experience
