Faith Victory Association (FVA) is a non-governmental organization working alongside communities to facilitate processes that eradicate poverty, protect children, prevent violence, control diseases (especially HIV/AIDS), protect the environment, and promote equality within communities.
Position Overview
FVA is implementing the Citizen Action for Climate Resilience (CACR) project across six districts: Rusizi, Gisagara, Nyanza, Ruhango, Ngoma, and Nyagatare. We seek a qualified Project Officer to manage daily project activities at the Ngoma District duty station.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and implement day-to-day project activities in the field
- Ensure alignment with project objectives
- Record and interpret field data to reflect accurate project progress
- Build and maintain relationships with community members and local authorities
- Support socio-economic and psycho-spiritual development initiatives
Minimum Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Sciences, Business Administration, Public Administration, Management, Project Management, Economics, Social Sciences, or a related field (Master's degree is an added advantage)
- At least five years of experience working with communities
- Knowledge and field work experience in rural community settings and working with local authorities
- Willingness to reside in rural areas and spend extended time in the field
- Demonstrated experience in networking and building relationships across different segments of society
- Fluent in French, English (both oral and written), and Kinyarwanda
- Commitment to socio-economic and psycho-spiritual development
- Strong willingness to learn and proven ability to work collaboratively as a team player
- Ability to accurately record and interpret data to reflect real field situations
- Category A Driving Licence (added advantage)
