## Title: Area Sales Manager – Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG)

About the Role

We invite applications from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Area Sales Manager in our Fast-Moving Consumer Goods division.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manage organizational sales by developing a comprehensive business plan covering sales targets, revenue goals, and marketing expense controls
  • Execute the sales plan and meet established sales goals; set individual sales targets with the sales team
  • Oversee the activities and performance of the sales team and provide ongoing training and development
  • Assist in recruiting sales representatives, setting objectives, coaching, and monitoring performance
  • Develop new marketing avenues and lead generation strategies
  • Equip the sales team through motivation, counseling, and product knowledge education
  • Understand ideal customers and how they relate to company products
  • Develop and cultivate long-term relationships with prospective consumers and related industries to strengthen partnerships
  • Leverage existing networks to expand the company's product reach and repeat business through relationship building and exceptional customer experience
  • Collaborate with the team to coordinate project implementation and customer service support, proactively addressing problems and customer issues to ensure satisfaction
  • Provide regular feedback to management on market trends, competitive threats, and opportunities to deliver greater customer value
  • Prepare strategic reports on all sales activities including sales and prospecting activities, sales calls, presentations, closed sales, and follow-up activities

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Diploma or degree in Sales & Marketing or a related field from a reputable institution
  • Minimum 3 years of proven experience in Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG)
  • At least 1 year's experience managing and directing a sales team
  • Excellent spoken and written English communication skills with the highest standards of professionalism
  • Proficiency in customer relationship management
  • Fast learner with strong self-motivation
