Job description

We are looking for a qualified candidate to fill this position. Key Responsibilities: - Process and verify supplier invoices, ensuring accuracy, proper authorization, and compliance with hospital policies. - Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounts payables records and schedules. - Prepare payment vouchers and process payments through bank transfers, cheques, and other approved methods. - Reconcile supplier statements and promptly resolve discrepancies. - Liaise with procurement, stores, and user departments to confirm receipt of goods and services. - Ensure statutory deductions (e.g., withholding tax, VAT where applicable) are correctly applied and remitted. - Support month-end and year-end closing processes, including preparation of AP reports. - Maintain proper documentation and filing for audit and compliance purposes. - Uphold confidentiality and ethical standards in handling financial and patient-related information. - Any other duty as may be assigned Skills: - Proficiency in accounting systems and Microsoft Excel. - Good understanding of Kenyan tax and financial regulations. - High level of accuracy, integrity, and attention to detail. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills. KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: - Degree in Accounting or Finance - CPA (K) or ACCA Finalist - Minimum of 2 years’ experience in accounts receivable, preferably within a healthcare or hospital environment. - Prior experience in a hospital, mental health facility, or healthcare setting is highly desirable
