About the Role
The Islamic University of Ghana invites applications from suitably qualified persons for the position of Human Resources Management Officer. This full-time role reports to the Registrar and plays a crucial part in managing human resources across the institution.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise the Management Board and Council on optimal staff composition to ensure an effective teaching and learning environment
- Enforce all regulations and rules pertaining to employment, welfare, development, and dismissal of all staff categories
- Verify and authenticate employee publications, documents, and certificates
- Conduct periodic reviews of the institution's staff development policy and ensure implementation
- Process staff applications for annual leave, study leave, and travel requests
- Advise the Academic Board and Council on future staffing needs in accordance with medium-term and long-term planned academic, professional, and skills training programmes
- Ensure compliance with disciplinary actions imposed by recognized University authorities
- Perform additional duties relating to quality assurance as prescribed by senior management
Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum of MPhil/MSc in a relevant field
- Professional certificate in Human Resources Management
- At least 5 years of relevant working experience
- High level of integrity, competence, and leadership ability
