Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the development and implementation of security policies, procedures, and standards to minimise risk associated with crime and enhance the safety of staff and customers
• Monitor and ensure efficient functioning of electronic security installations, including access control systems, alarm systems, fire suppression systems, and CCTV systems
• Carry out risk assessments by identifying, evaluating, and reporting security risks to the Security Coordinator
• Support implementation and maintenance of security policies, procedures, and compliance with relevant legislation
• Make recommendations to the Security Coordinator on security policy revision
• Assist with management of all security personnel on the bank's premises
• Develop and implement security training and awareness programmes
• Track and monitor movement in and out of the bank's premises
• Investigate security incidents and make recommendations to the Security Coordinator
• Assist with deployment of adequate private security guards and armed police escorts for specie movement and guard duties
• Implement health and safety measures at the workplace
• Establish and maintain professional relationships with law enforcement agencies, the intelligence community, and peer banks
• Coordinate fire prevention and control activities, including auditing of fire systems and instituting remedial measures

Qualifications and Experience Required

• Minimum first degree in a security-related field
• At least 5 years of post-qualification work experience in a bank or corporate institution
