Job Title: Senior Accountant

Location: Head Office, Addis Ababa

Reports to: Finance & Admin Manager

Purpose of the Role

The Senior Accountant is responsible for maintaining the integrity and accuracy of the company's financial records by overseeing the full accounting cycle. This role ensures that every financial transaction—from daily bookkeeping to complex year-end closings—is recorded, reconciled, and reported in strict accordance with accounting standards and legal regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure day-to-day transactions such as accounts payable, cash receipts, and accounts receivable are recorded properly
• Perform timely and accurate month-end journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations
• Update and maintain accurate accounting schedules
• Ensure proper revenue and expense recognition
• Monitor cash flow and perform cash flow forecasting
• Analyze financial information and summarize financial status
• Support month-end and year-end close processes
• Ensure all finance and accounting operations comply with tax laws and regulations
• Perform fiscal year-end close activities and assist with external auditor requirements
