Recruitment Announcement for Project Implementation Specialist for the KOICA Project in Ethiopia

Position Overview

This position supports the implementation of the KOICA Project on Strengthening National Quality Infrastructure to Enhance the Competitiveness of Agricultural and Agro-Processed Products in Ethiopia. The Project Implementation Specialist will provide comprehensive administrative and coordination support to ensure effective project execution across all partner institutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate consultation and schedule meetings with focal points from partner institutions (MoTRI, EMI, ESI, EAS, ECAE) and relevant associations and companies
• Collect, consolidate, and report data and materials from partner institutions and associated organizations
• Manage project progress and monitor implementation activities
• Collect and consolidate data on project performance indicators from relevant institutions and partners
• Administer and manage the Joint Coordinating Committee (JCC) between Korea and Ethiopia
• Support activities for strengthening testing, inspection, and calibration capacities
• Enhance regulatory compliance capacity in quality management for agricultural and agro-processed products
• Support strengthening of external regulatory response capacity in the agricultural and agro-processed products sector
• Perform other duties necessary for smooth project implementation and operation

Employment Terms

• Contract Duration: 12 months from date of hire (Subject to project performance and budget availability, contract may be extended through renewal up to December 31, 2028)
• Probation Period: 60 days from date of hire. Contracts may be terminated if work performance does not meet required standards in accordance with applicable laws and regulations
• Monthly Compensation: USD 780 gross salary (before deduction of income tax and statutory pension contributions). Payment will be made in ETB based on the official exchange rate
