Job description

A reputable organization seeks a dedicated individual for this role.

To provide high-quality, confidential, and non-discriminatory HIV and SRH services to Key and Priority Populations (KPPs), including Female Sex Workers (FSWs), High-Risk Adolescent Girls and Young Women (HR-AGYW), and other vulnerable groups. The nurse ensures clinical quality, accurate documentation, and strong collaboration with health centers, FGAE and CCRDA team for effective service delivery.Key Duties & ResponsibilitiesClinical Service DeliveryProvide client-friendly HIV Testing Services (HTS) in line with national guidelines.Conduct STI screening, syndromic management, and referrals as needed.Deliver SRH counseling, condom demonstration, and risk-reduction education.Manage first-line response and referrals for Gender-Based Violence (GBV) survivors.Facilitate PrEP/PEP referral pathways and follow-up.Monitor vital signs, manage minor illnesses, and conduct basic clinical assessments.Client Management & NavigationMaintain strict confidentiality and non-discriminatory client care.Follow up on missed appointments and link clients to Peer Support Providers (PSPs).Support PSPs in conducting peer sessions, addressing barriers, and improving service uptake.Documentation, Reporting & HMISRecord all services using Ministry of Health-approved tools (logbooks, registers, daily activity sheets).Ensure timely and accurate reporting to FGAE and host health facility.Support data quality assurance (DQA) activities.Collaboration & CoordinationWork closely with facility management to ensure smooth service integration.Participate in weekly coordination meetings with FGAE and facility teams.Support orientation, mentoring, and supervision of PSPs.Participate in supportive supervision and DQA sessions conducted by CCRDA and FGAE teams.Commodities & Supplies ManagementTrack condom, test kit, and other consumable stocks at the health center.Report stock-outs immediately to FGAE and facility store teams.Ensure safe disposal of medical waste and compliance with infection prevention protocols.Minimum Qualifications & ExperienceDiploma or BSc in Nursing from a recognized institution.Valid professional license from the Ethiopian regulatory authority.Minimum 5 years of professional experience in HIV/SRH service delivery.Experience working with KPPs, DICs, or high-risk populations is preferred.Strong understanding of client confidentiality and ethical standards.Basic computer literacy and familiarity with HMIS systems.Competencies & SkillsStrong communication and interpersonal skills.Knowledge of HIV prevention, SRH protocols, and GBV first-line response.Ability to work with marginalized and vulnerable populations.Good organizational, record-keeping, and documentation skills.Client-centered, empathetic, and non-judgmental approach.Key Safeguarding ResponsibilitiesUphold zero tolerance for client abuse or discrimination.Adhere strictly to organization’s safeguarding policies.Immediately report ...
