Heavy Equipment Operator (Excavator)

About the Role

Mullege PLC is seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator (Excavator) for a full-time, senior-level position. You will be responsible for operating excavators and other heavy machinery to support construction and architectural projects. This role requires ensuring that machinery is operated safely and efficiently while contributing to the successful completion of projects and adhering to industry standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate excavators and heavy machinery to execute excavation, grading, and other construction activities
• Conduct pre-operation inspections of equipment to ensure safety and functionality
• Communicate effectively with team members and project managers to understand project requirements
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and equipment usage
• Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to minimize risks on the job site
• Assist in the loading and unloading of materials as needed
• Monitor equipment performance and report any malfunctions or maintenance needs
• Train and mentor junior operators on best practices and safety procedures
• Coordinate with site supervisors to optimize workflow and project timelines
• Ensure cleanliness and organization of the work area and machinery

Requirements

• 5–8 years of experience operating heavy equipment, particularly excavators
• Senior-level proficiency in equipment operation
• Strong knowledge of safety protocols and industry regulations
• Ability to work in a remote environment
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining equipment standards
