Field Program Officer

Position Overview

Geneva Global is an international philanthropy advisory and program management organization supporting high-impact social change. We are seeking a Field Program Officer to provide regional coordination and operational leadership for the Leaders in Teaching Ethiopia (LiTE) initiative—a flagship program of Mastercard Foundation focused on strengthening teacher supply, instructional leadership, and student transitions in low-performing secondary schools.

The Field Program Officer ensures quality delivery across all program pillars while working collaboratively with regional and school-level teams.

Position Details

• Number of Positions: 1
• Location: Based in assigned region with frequent travel to target schools
• Reports to: LiTE Program Lead, Country Office

Key Responsibilities

Regional Planning & Coordination

• Lead regional annual and quarterly work planning
• Coordinate implementation of teacher development, leadership strengthening, student support, and school-based activities
• Ensure alignment with GESI and MEAL officers at regional level through direct engagement

Field Implementation Oversight

• Conduct field visits to schools and clusters
• Ensure quality delivery of Competency Based Curriculum by arranging teacher support, leadership strengthening, career hubs, and youth engagement
• Support schools in implementing program activities

Stakeholder & Government Engagement

• Work closely with Regional Education Bureau (REB), Woreda Education Offices (WEOs), universities, Colleges of Teacher Education, and TVET institutions
• Facilitate joint supervision visits and support REB-led coordination efforts

Access, Inclusion & Transition Support

• Oversee community campaigns, enrollment, and retention activities
