FG Warehouse Storekeeper

About the Role

Holland Dairy P.L.C is seeking a Warehouse Storekeeper for our Dire Dawa facility in Ethiopia. You will be responsible for the accurate and efficient management of finished goods inventory, including receiving, storing, issuing, and dispatching products in a timely and organized manner while ensuring compliance with company policies, quality standards, and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage cold storage operations and maintain proper temperature control
• Receive, store, issue, and dispatch products in a timely and organized manner
• Record all received and issued goods in the ERP system (Business Central) and Excel database
• Perform daily reconciliation and prepare detailed stock movement reports in Excel format
• Conduct daily traceability of material movements and investigate any variances
• Identify and segregate stock by batch and prepare items for shipment
• Ensure 100% utilization of the Business Central ERP system
• Verify that all inventory balances match actual counts and investigate discrepancies
• Record daily damage reports and forward weekly reports to finance for adjustment
• Maintain warehouse organization with proper labeling based on material type
• Segregate damaged products from active stock and label accordingly
• Apply FIFO/FEFO principles to minimize product expiry risks
• Pick and pack products according to order requirements while maintaining cold chain integrity
• Ensure swift loading to prevent exposure to ambient temperatures
• Maintain zero variance on daily transactions
• Optimize storage space utilization
• Develop strong relationships with Distribution, Sales, and Agent teams across Dire Dawa, Addis Ababa, and Bishoftu warehouses
• Set and implement warehouse working hours in coordination with Sales and Distribution teams
• Address customer complaints in a timely manner
• Continuously review warehouse operations to maximize customer satisfaction
• Manage daily warehouse operations with flexibility and adaptability
• Report any Food Safety Management System (FSMS) issues to designated personnel

Required Qualifications

• Experience with ERP systems, particularly Business Central
• Knowledge of warehouse management and inventory handling best practices
• Understanding of FIFO/FEFO principles and cold chain management
• Familiarity with Food Safety Management Systems (FSMS)
• Strong organizational and attention to detail skills
• Ability to work flexibly and manage multiple priorities
• Good communication skills and customer service orientation
