Headquartered in Ireland, SHA creates scalable and sustainable solutions to eradicating long-term poverty through knowledge transfer, investment, and market linkages.Our Core Values:Impact: We are accountable, ambitious, and committed to systemic change.Innovation: We are agile, creative, and enterprising.Community: We are inclusive, honest, and act with integrity.Job PurposeThe Community Development Facilitator is responsible for implementing the project: “Provide an integrated package of climate-adaptive livelihood support, anticipatory action and climate services for at-risk communities, particularly small-scale producers, other value chain actors, women and young people in Amhara region.”The incumbent serves as the primary link between the project team and the community. Key focus areas include establishing Village Economic and Social Associations (VESAs), strengthening RuSACCOs, supporting Income Generating Activities (IGAs), and promoting gender equity and social inclusion.Key ResponsibilitiesProject Implementation & SupervisionPrepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly work plans for assigned areas.Mentor and supervise VESA Facilitators (VFs) and monitor field-level activities.Facilitate community engagement and mobilization in collaboration with local government and Kebele administration.Organize smallholder farmers and mobilize communities for project interventions.Support the distribution of agricultural inputs to targeted beneficiaries.Promote Gender and Disability Inclusion, PSEAH (Protection from Sexual Exploitation, Abuse, and Harassment), and nutrition education.Economic & Financial InclusionEstablish, strengthen, and operationalize Village Economic and Social Associations (VESAs) and Rural Savings and Credit Cooperatives (RuSACCOs).Provide training to VESA groups on financial management, governance, record-keeping, and savings.Promote access to formal financial systems (bank accounts, microloans, and insurance).Monitor the performance of VESAs/RuSACCOs and provide coaching for sustainability.Support the growth of Income Generating Activities (IGAs) and help beneficiaries access start-up capital.Monitoring, Evaluation & ReportingMaintain accurate records on VESAs, RuSACCOs, and market linkage activities.Participate in beneficiary selection, ensuring the inclusion of vulnerable groups (female-headed households, people with disabilities).Collect sex-disaggregated data and contribute to progress repor...
