## Title: Chef Shift Supervisor

About the Role

The Chef Shift Supervisor will assist the Sous Chef in overseeing the preparation, cooking, and presentation of meals in the kitchen. This position involves supervising staff and ensuring high standards of hygiene, food quality, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan menus and prepare 28-day meal schedules for both continental and local dishes
  • Order kitchen supplies and ensure stock is appropriately managed
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and supervise "clean as you go" practices
  • Supervise food packing, buffet arrangements, and timely service of meals
  • Ensure hygiene standards, PPE compliance, and adherence to all safety, health, and environmental regulations
  • Monitor HACCP logs, food temperatures, and daily health checks for food handlers
  • Report accidents or potential hazards promptly
  • Manage wastage, support cost control, and reduce spoilage
  • Attend required meetings, implement agreed actions, and participate in risk assessments
  • Ensure customer complaints are recorded and communicated to supervisors
  • Participate in continuous improvement of QFSMS and contribute innovative ideas for meal variety and presentation
