Job description
Position Overview
We invite applications from suitably qualified candidates to manage on-site engineering operations. In this role, you will ensure all installation guidelines and contract specifications are applied consistently throughout the project lifecycle. You will be responsible for recording and reporting labour performance efficiencies weekly to senior management, working under the direction of the Senior Site Engineer.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure adherence to all contract specifications and guidelines throughout project commencement and execution
- Issue material submittals with relevant consultant requirements and maintain a comprehensive register
- Verify that all Method Statements and Risk Assessments align with company HSE/QA-QC procedures
- Ensure compliance statements, testing, commissioning, spares, and warranties are upheld at all times
- Manage procurement and long lead item schedules in coordination with line managers and Section Managers
- Track pending material deliveries, follow up on delivery dates, and record any issues
- Control dissemination of contractual documents (drawings, contracts, specifications) to relevant site team members
- Ensure site team has access to usable drawings and specifications required to execute works per contract requirements
- Forward any scope of work changes to the Commercial Team immediately
- Manage on-site drawing control and as-built information, ensuring all drawings are reviewed by relevant team members
- Maintain weekly records of drawing updates and change requirements
- Uphold and maintain QA/QC project requirements, verifying installations meet standards before issuing inspection documentation
- Conduct and manage full material take-offs and issue relevant measurable documentation
- Record and report labour performance efficiencies weekly to senior management
