Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant who will play a critical role in overseeing financial operations, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and supporting strategic decision-making within the company. This full-time position is based in our Addis Ababa office and requires a professional with 5–6 years of experience in accounting and finance.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including balance sheets and income statements
• Develop and analyze financial forecasts and budgets to support strategic planning
• Ensure compliance with accounting principles and standards, including IFRS
• Analyze and prepare tax reporting documents in collaboration with team members
• Utilize accounting software such as Peachtree and QuickBooks for efficient financial reporting
• Conduct financial analysis and reporting to identify trends and variances
• Implement cost management strategies to enhance profitability
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports for internal and external stakeholders
• Coordinate with auditors during financial audits to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Monitor and manage accounts payable and receivable to optimize cash flow
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and accounting teams to support financial decision-making

Required Qualifications

• 5–6 years of experience in accounting and finance
• Proficiency with accounting software (Peachtree and QuickBooks)
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and IFRS standards
• Excellent analytical and financial reporting skills
