Sales and Marketing Manager

About the Position

Marta Food Complex is seeking an energetic and experienced Sales and Marketing Manager to lead our marketing and sales initiatives. This role is based in Bahir Dar with frequent travel to countryside locations.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, direct, coordinate, and control all marketing and sales activities, including sales management, market research, business development, public relations, advertising, and customer service
• Coordinate the formulation of plan objectives, development of conceptual frameworks, guidelines, and implementation strategies for team members
• Identify new business lines and opportunities for expansion of existing sales
• Prepare reports evaluating business alternatives ranked by desirability, probability of success, cost, profit, effectiveness, and risk
• Propose strategies to address future situations affecting business development and sales expansion
• Analyze sales data and investment opportunities to inform business decisions
• Develop and formulate company goals, objectives, and performance standards
• Monitor actual achievements against established goals, objectives, standards, and past performance
• Submit sales performance analysis and findings to supervisors with appropriate proposals and recommendations
• Develop performance indicators and sales evaluation techniques to assess team member performance
• Analyze sales results, compare planned versus actual outcomes, and conduct gap analysis with documented findings and recommendations
• Develop strategies to ensure business growth and profitability
• Coordinate studies related to investment opportunities and progressive expansion of products and services
• Investigate and evaluate business opportunities and provide strategic advice on recommended courses of action

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience in sales and marketing management
• Strong organizational and leadership skills
• Ability to develop and implement effective business strategies
• Experience with sales data analysis and financial forecasting
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Compensation

Salary is based on the company scale and is highly competitive, plus commission.

Bahir Dar, Ethiopia, with frequent travel required.
