Organization Context

Médecins du Monde (MDM) France is a campaigning medical organization committed to international solidarity. For more than 30 years, MDM has provided care to the most vulnerable populations at home and abroad, highlighting obstacles to health care access and securing sustainable improvements in health-for-all policies.

MDM operates as an independent organization where staff not only dispense care and treatment but also condemn violations of human dignity and rights, working to improve conditions for populations living in precarious situations.

MDM currently works in 44 countries across all continents, focusing on four priority areas:

• Caring for the health of migrants and displaced people
• Promoting sexual and reproductive health
• Harm reduction associated with drug use
• Emergency and crisis response

MDM has been operating in Ethiopia since 1986 across various health projects, from long-term interventions to emergency response. Current focus areas include access to primary health care, reduction of maternal mortality through improved obstetric care, promotion of sexual and reproductive health rights with protection against gender-based violence, provision of Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS), and malnutrition reduction.

Job Summary

The psychologist will be based in Hudet Woreda of the Somali region, providing mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS) to individuals and communities. This position focuses on conducting psychological assessments, delivering interventions, and offering ongoing support for a range of psychological concerns.
