Since 1944, Heifer International has empowered over 46 million smallholder farmer families globally to overcome hunger and poverty while caring for the earth. Our new goal is to close the Sustainable Living Income gap for 10 million more households by 2030.
Heifer Ethiopia's contribution to this global target is to help 1,000,000 of Heifer Africa's 6.745 million households achieve sustainable living income by 2030. Heifer Ethiopia's maiden Signature Program, focusing on dairy, poultry, small ruminants, and horticulture, will set the pace for this ambitious goal.
Position Overview
The Project Team Leader reports to the Signature Program Technical Lead of Heifer International Ethiopia. You will lead the Transforming Horticulture through Responsive and Inclusive Technical and Vocational Education in Ethiopia (THRIVE-HORT Ethiopia) project and coordinate the implementation of all project activities—both administrative and technical.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead overall project planning, implementation, and adaptive management
- Oversee project scaling and/or closure as required
- Manage the project workforce and ensure delivery within approved scope, budget, timeline, and quality standards
- Ensure compliance with project documents, donor agreements, and contracts signed with the Ministry of Agriculture and other relevant stakeholders
- Maintain strong and effective working relationships with donors, government institutions, private sector actors, development partners, and other stakeholders
- Facilitate the establishment and effective functioning of multi-stakeholder partnerships
