Pharmacy Head (NO 2 Pharmacy)

Duties and Responsibilities

• Administer human resource, material resource, and financial matters of the pharmacy outlet
• Lead and motivate staff to ensure proper execution of pharmacy outlet duties and responsibilities
• Ensure the pharmacy outlet is properly furnished with human resource, materials, and financial resources, and that resources are efficiently and effectively utilized
• Head drug stock supply, storage, and dispensing of good quality, safe, efficacious, and affordable essential drugs to target community members
• Ensure strict compliance with administrative and regulatory requirements of the Food, Medicines and Healthcare Administration and Control Authority and EDP Head office on pharmacy operations
• Conduct drug needs assessments to identify priority lists of essential drugs most wanted by the target community
• Ensure drugs are stored properly in accordance with pharmacopeial standards and requirements of the Food, Medicines and Healthcare Administration and Control Authority
• Follow up on stock levels and request replenishment from the Head Office or arrange local purchases if authorized
• Check drugs dispatched from the central store against support documentation, inspect expiry dates and condition, count, and certify on goods receiving notes
• Monitor and evaluate the applied drug distribution system and propose improvements to upgrade dispensary service delivery efficiency
• Ensure expired, damaged, and spoiled drugs and medical supplies are disposed of responsibly and obtain certificates of destruction in accordance with Food, Medicines and Healthcare Administration and Control Authority directives
