Job Purpose

The General Services Officer is responsible for planning, coordinating, and controlling all general service operations to ensure a safe, efficient, cost-effective, and well-maintained working environment. The role oversees security, fleet, facilities, utilities, property, civil maintenance, canteen, liaison activities, and general service procurement.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist security guard deployment, access control, and circulation of people and vehicles
• Oversee cleaning, gardening, and laundry services to maintain hygiene and environmental standards
• Administer fleet management, including vehicle inventory, inspections, preventive maintenance, fuel and expense control, GPS journey monitoring, insurance claims, annual inspections, and driver safety assessments
• Supervise canteen operations to ensure food quality, hygiene, and cost efficiency
• Assist in managing liaison activities with government offices, utilities, municipalities, and external stakeholders
• Administer utility services (electricity, water, telecom, internet) and monitor consumption and costs
• Assist in managing company properties, leases, records, and utilization
• Oversee civil maintenance, repairs, renovations, and contractor works
• Coordinate procurement and warehouse activities related to general service supplies and assets
• Ensure compliance with company policies, legal requirements, safety standards, and budget controls
