Position Details

• Reports to: Senior Program Manager
• Supervises: GBV Prevention & Case Management Officers, Women and Girls Support Services (WGSS) Case Workers, Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) Officers
• Employment Type: Four-month contract with possibility of extension based on fund availability
• Geographic Coverage: Shire, Sheraro, Tahtay Adyabo, Ahsea, Alamata, Raya Alamata, and Ofla
• Duty Station: Ethiopia

Role Purpose

The GBV Project Manager is responsible for the overall management, coordination, and quality implementation of Gender-Based Violence prevention and response programs. The role ensures that all activities are survivor-centered, aligned with international and national GBV standards, and integrated across protection, health, MHPSS, and legal services. The Project Manager provides technical leadership, oversees program planning, monitoring, and reporting, strengthens referral pathways and stakeholder partnerships, and ensures the safety, dignity, and empowerment of GBV survivors in humanitarian and development contexts.
