About SOS Children's Villages in Ethiopia

SOS Children's Villages in Ethiopia is an international non-governmental organization and member of the SOS Children's Villages International Federation. Since opening our first Village in Mekelle in Northern Ethiopia in 1974, we have expanded our programs across multiple regions to address significant needs for vulnerable children and young people.

Today, we operate across eight program locations in close collaboration with international donors, local government, and community-based organizations. We are committed to supporting Ethiopian children who have lost parental care and those at risk of losing it, ensuring every child grows up with love, respect, and security.
