Job Summary

The Business Development Officer will drive initiatives to expand the firm's client base, increase revenue, and strengthen market visibility across audit, assurance, IFRS advisory, and tax consulting services. The role includes identifying business opportunities, nurturing client relationships, preparing proposals, and ensuring compliance with Ethiopian accounting, auditing, and tax regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Business Growth & Strategy

• Develop and implement annual business development plans aligned with the firm's growth objectives
• Identify target clients across banking, insurance, NGOs, manufacturing, and trading sectors
• Explore opportunities for IFRS conversion services, audit, tax advisory, and internal audit engagements
• Conduct competitor and market research to inform strategy

Client Acquisition & Proposal Management

• Lead the preparation of technical and financial proposals for prospective clients
• Coordinate with audit, tax, and advisory teams to ensure proposal accuracy and completeness
• Ensure timely submission of proposals and attend bid hearings and presentations
• Maintain a proposal tracking system to monitor success rates, client feedback, and follow-ups
• Analyze outcomes to improve future business development strategies, pricing, and technical content
