Area Sales Manager - Addis Ababa, Gondar & Dire Dawa

Purpose of the Role

The Area Sales Manager is responsible for managing sales and sales administration activities across the specified geographic area. This includes planning execution itineraries, executing agent development strategy, and driving sales representative development.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare area sales plans and targets in alignment with Regional Sales Manager's overall plan
• Conduct periodic visits to agents and key outlets within the territory and produce visit reports
• Drive sales volume to achieve targets set for the area
• Receive and handle objections and complaints from agents or outlets
• Ensure availability, visibility, and accessibility of Awash Wine products in priority outlets
• Understand and communicate price dynamics in the area
• Monitor performance and activities of Sales Representatives, Van Salesmen, and Agents under supervision
• Conduct weekly and monthly stock counts and reporting by SKU
• Receive sales orders and track stock availability at Awash Wine S.C.
• Prepare and communicate all required reports accurately and timely
• Ensure adherence to FIFO stock movement method at agent warehouses
• Evaluate Agent and Sales Representative performance
• Actively participate in promotional activities conducted in the area
• Support agents to increase sell-in and sell-out performances and report on agent sales results
• Develop route plans and ensure route and price adherence by agents and sales force
• Coordinate communication of Recommended Retail Prices (RRP) to outlets
• Participate in forecasting monthly, quarterly, and annual agent sales volumes
• Analyze area market trends and identify new growth opportunities
• Address potential problems and suggest prompt solutions
• Suggest new services, products, and innovative sales techniques to increase customer satisfaction
• Act as liaison between Finance, Customer Service, Sales Operations, Marketing, Agents, and Outlets
• Assess market conditions and monitor competitor activities
