Position Overview
Position Title: Woreda Development Facilitator
Number of Positions: Two (2)
Duty Station: Yayu and Algae Sachi Woredas in Iluababore Zone, Oromia
Note: Applicants must specify which woreda they are applying for.
Contract Type: Project-based
Reports to: Site Coordinator
Position Summary
The Woreda Development Facilitator will support the planning, implementation, and monitoring of project activities at community and woreda levels. The role focuses on participatory natural resource management, forest restoration, biodiversity conservation, and community livelihood improvement. The Facilitator will also support documentation, reporting, and coordination with local stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate community consultations and participatory planning processes
- Support participatory forest management (PFM) and restoration activities
- Promote climate-smart land use and sustainable management of shade coffee development
- Support nursery establishment and indigenous tree seed collection
- Organize and facilitate community training sessions
- Collect field data and contribute to monitoring and reporting
- Document lessons learned and best practices
- Coordinate with woreda and kebele sector offices and community leaders
