The Ethiopian Red Cross Society (ERCS) was established in 1935 and is one of the oldest and largest humanitarian organizations in Ethiopia. ERCS provides services to communities affected by natural and man-made disasters through emergency responses, ambulance and first aid services, family reunification, essential drugs distribution, water and sanitation programs, and other humanitarian services.

ERCS operates disaster risk reduction programs focused on food security, climate change adaptation, livelihood diversification, and institutional capacity building to create resilient households and communities. The organization has a structure consisting of 14 regional branches, 40 zonal branches, 180 woreda branches, and 5,871 Kebele Red Cross Committees. ERCS partners with the Ethiopian Government, International Federation of the Red Cross and Red Crescent (IFRC), International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), partnering National Societies, members, volunteers, and the communities it serves.

Job Summary

Under the supervision of the Transport Operation and Technical Services Team Lead, the Trailer Truck Driver is responsible for safe and careful operation of the truck, adhering to all ERCS rules and regulations. The driver must follow applicable traffic and driving laws, remain aware of road conditions, and report incidents as required.
