International Clinical Laboratories (ICL) is one of the largest independent clinical diagnostic centers on the African continent. Since opening in 2004, ICL has been committed to "contributing to the maintenance and enhancement of the quality of life throughout Ethiopia" through a comprehensive system of human and physical resources designed to meet the evolving healthcare needs of the populations it serves.

ICL is the only laboratory accredited by the USA-based Joint Commission International (JCI) five consecutive times and provides more than 3,000 tests in collaboration with its referral laboratories.

Position Overview

• Position: Specimen Collection Technician
• Number of Vacancies: 2
• Employment Type: Full Time
• Location: Addis Ababa
• Reports to: Customer Service Supervisor
• Department: Customer Service Section

Key Responsibilities

• Collect and label laboratory samples following standard operating procedures from ambulatory patients and credit customers
• Create patient data records as necessary
• Submit and deliver collected samples with proper sample tracking forms (Pre-Alert sheets)
• Utilize phlebotomy materials appropriately and efficiently
• Enter patient data, process cash payments, and provide customer service
• Report technical complaints or inquiries to the supervisor
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or Customer Service Manager
