## Title: Senior Local Purchase Officer
Job Summary
The Senior Local Purchase Officer is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing local procurement activities to ensure timely, cost-effective, and quality acquisition of goods and services in line with company policies and procedures.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Plan and implement local purchasing activities based on approved purchase requests
- Prepare and issue RFQs/RFPs and obtain competitive quotations from suppliers
- Evaluate supplier quotations and participate in bid analysis and supplier selection
- Negotiate prices, delivery schedules, and payment terms with vendors
- Prepare purchase orders and follow up on order execution and delivery
- Ensure purchased items meet required specifications, quality, and quantity standards
- Maintain updated supplier database and develop new suppliers
- Monitor market trends, price fluctuations, and availability of materials
- Coordinate with warehouse, finance, and user departments during procurement processes
- Ensure procurement documentation is complete and properly archived
- Resolve delivery, quality, and supplier performance issues
- Support periodic inventory planning and cost-saving initiatives
- Ensure compliance with procurement policy, audit requirements, and ethical standards
- Prepare procurement reports and performance analyses
- Supervise and guide junior purchasing staff when assigned
