About the Role

The Senior Auto Mechanic is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles and heavy machinery such as excavators and loaders. This position requires supervising junior mechanics to ensure high-quality and timely service delivery. The role demands strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and the ability to handle complex mechanical issues.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and engine problems in vehicles and machinery
• Perform advanced repairs including engine overhaul, transmission, suspension, and braking systems
• Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, inspections, and servicing
• Supervise and guide junior mechanics and technicians
• Ensure all work meets safety and quality standards
• Use diagnostic tools and equipment efficiently
• Maintain service records and repair reports
• Coordinate with the parts department for required spare parts
• Test vehicles after repair to ensure proper functioning
• Minimize downtime and improve workshop efficiency
