## Title: Project Officer – WASH, Health & Nutrition

About the Role

The Project Officer is responsible for supporting the planning, coordination, implementation, and monitoring of integrated WASH, Health, and Nutrition interventions under the OCHA-funded EHF project in targeted woredas. Working under the guidance of the Zonal EHF Project Coordinator and in close collaboration with relevant technical teams at the National Office and field levels, the officer ensures that project activities are implemented effectively, in line with approved project plans, donor requirements, and organizational standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate implementation of WASH, Health, and Nutrition activities by coordinating field operations
  • Support assessments and ensure interventions respond to the needs of conflict-affected and vulnerable communities
  • Follow up on project activities and support field supervision of construction and service delivery activities
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards and contribute to timely completion of planned outputs
  • Work closely with Area Program teams, sectoral coordinators, and implementing partners to promote strong integration and coordination across sectors
  • Support collaboration with government stakeholders at regional, zonal, and woreda levels, as well as humanitarian partners
  • Monitor project progress, document results, and prepare regular reports
  • Participate in coordination meetings and review platforms
  • Contribute to effective, timely, and accountable delivery of integrated humanitarian services

Impact

Through these responsibilities, the Project Officer helps improve access to water, sanitation, hygiene, health, and nutrition services for vulnerable populations in targeted areas, ensuring alignment with national priorities and strengthened coordinated responses.
