Job Summary
The Project Officer is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the field office to ensure effective support for integrated protection and Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) activities in Dessie, Kombolcha, Mersa, Worebabu and Haik woredas of the Amhara region. This includes managing logistics, human resources, finance, and administration functions to facilitate smooth and compliant program delivery in line with national guidelines, donor standards, and Medical Teams policies.
The role requires strong operational leadership and a solid understanding of program implementation, particularly in protection and health. It also involves close coordination with government stakeholders, UN agencies, and internal departments to ensure alignment, efficiency, and accountability.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Program Responsibilities
- Closely coordinate with government sectors, including Woreda health office, health center, Office of Social and Civil Affairs (OSC), women and children's affairs, and other stakeholders to ensure efficient program implementation
- Participate in the planning, implementation, and supervision of protection and SRH program implementation according to established guidelines
