Production Manager — Salt Manufacturing Company

About the Role

Under the close supervision and support of the Site Plant Manager, the Production Manager plans, organizes, directs, and controls overall operations from raw salt reception to iodized salt packaging. You will evaluate work unit performance, investigate problems, implement timely corrective actions, develop new operating methods, ensure their effectiveness, and prepare reports on work standards and operational systems development.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise daily production activities
• Ensure product quality and safety standards are maintained throughout all processes
• Prepare work plans aligned with the organization's long-term and short-term objectives
• Work collaboratively with various departments to achieve production goals
• Monitor production efficiency and design operational strategies to improve production capacity cost-effectively
• Propose appropriate improvements to production processes
• Implement and enforce security protocols and procedures
• Control product waste throughout the production process
• Review laboratory test results against established quality standards and make necessary adjustments
• Ensure smooth, uninterrupted production by regularly visiting production facilities, equipment, and monitoring employees
• Verify that required production inputs are available in sufficient quantities and submit timely purchase requests
• Maintain all records, manuals, software, data, statistics, studies, plans, programs, and external documents according to the records management system
• Conduct detailed studies on implementing new production methods
• Liaise with the technical team regarding equipment maintenance and prioritization
