Position Overview
The Ethiopian Agricultural Transformation Institute (ATI), formerly known as the Agricultural Transformation Agency (ATA), is seeking an Operations Officer for Logistics and Administration with a focus on action tracking. This is a dynamic role within an expanding team dedicated to accelerating the growth and transformation of Ethiopia's agriculture sector.
About the Organization
ATI is a strategy and delivery-oriented government institute created to help accelerate the growth and transformation of Ethiopia's agriculture sector, a key contributor to the country's GDP, exports, and workforce. The Institute's work centers on improving the livelihoods of smallholder farmers across the country for improved income, inclusiveness, resilience, and sustainability.
ATI transforms the agriculture sector through:
- Conducting policy and analytical studies
- Providing technical implementation support and capacity building
- Coordinating platforms to better integrate partners and projects
- Designing and leading innovative pilot interventions
The Institute collaborates with various stakeholders, including policymakers, researchers, farmers, and development partners, to support agricultural development programs. ATI also works with national and international partners to facilitate knowledge exchange and learning opportunities, playing a crucial role in generating and disseminating information to support evidence-based decision-making in Ethiopia's agricultural sector.
Position Details
- Employment Type: One year with possibility of extension
- Duty Station: Addis Ababa, with secondment to Ministry of Agriculture and occasional travel to project sites, workshops, and partner institutions
