About the Role

The General Foreman is responsible for overseeing daily construction operations, managing site teams, and ensuring quality standards and safety compliance. This role involves coordinating work schedules, supervising sub-foremen and work crews, and maintaining communication with site management regarding progress and challenges.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate daily, weekly, and monthly work schedules; determine work sequences and coordinate workforce activities
• Oversee and manage sub-foremen and work teams on-site; evaluate their work performance
• Conduct quality control inspections on ongoing and completed work to ensure compliance with blueprints, drawings, and specifications
• Enforce safety protocols on the construction site; ensure workers use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and comply with safety regulations
• Order, receive, and monitor proper use of construction materials; oversee maintenance and operation of construction machinery
• Prepare daily and monthly progress reports with accurate information on work advancement, workforce utilization, and issues encountered for the Site Engineer/Manager
• Resolve technical issues and disputes that arise during construction processes
• Monitor supplier quality and quantity of delivered materials; control material waste
• Train, motivate, and mentor team members; provide constructive feedback to develop technical skills and leadership capabilities
• Conduct performance evaluations; lead work activities and implement disciplinary actions according to company policies

Required Profile

• Proven experience as a General Foreman or similar supervisory role in construction
• Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and safety standards
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Experience managing teams and coordinating multiple work groups

Working Conditions
