Position Overview
Location: Addis Ababa, Ethiopia
Reports to: Senior Program Manager
Supervises: GBV Prevention & Case Management Officers, WGSS Case Workers, MHPSS Officers
Employment Type: Four-month contract with possibility of extension based on fund availability
Coverage Areas: Shire, Sheraro, T/Adyabo, Ahsea, Alamata, Raya Alamata, and Ofla
Role Purpose
The GBV Project Manager is responsible for the overall management, coordination, and quality implementation of Gender-Based Violence prevention and response programs. The role ensures that all activities are survivor-centered, aligned with international and national GBV standards, and integrated across protection, health, MHPSS, and legal services. The Project Manager provides technical leadership, oversees program planning, monitoring, and reporting, strengthens referral pathways and stakeholder partnerships, and ensures the safety, dignity, and empowerment of GBV survivors in humanitarian and development contexts.
