Context of the missionFor more than 30 years, Médecins du Monde (MDM) France, a campaigning medical organization committed to international solidarity, has been caring for the most vulnerable populations at home and abroad. MdM currently works in 44 countries across all continents where it focuses on 4 priority areas: caring for the health of migrants and displaced people, promoting sexual and reproductive health, harm reduction associated with drug use, emergencies and crisis.Médecins du Monde is operating in Ethiopia since 1986 in different types of health projects from long-term interventions to emergency response.MdM France has concentrated its efforts on projects related to access to primary health care (projects centered on rural health facilities and isolated populations), reduction of maternal mortality through improved quality of obstetric care, promotion of sexual and reproductive health rights including protection against gender-based violence, provision of Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) and reduction of malnutrition.Title: GBV Case worker Status: ContractDuration: Until October 31,2026Reports to: Medical Supervisor Location: Hudet Woreda of Somali regionReuired No. : 1Travel required: YesThe position holder will base at Hudet Woredas of Somali region. The overall responsibility of the position holder is to conduct GBV case management activities and strengthen GBV response referral pathway. She will be under the direct supervision of the Medical Supervisor with technical links with the mission GBV Advisor. Essential duties and responsibilities. Case workers will provide case management services to survivors, including referrals to existing services at the woreda, will conduct follow up and update status of referral cases.She will support updating service mapping on their coverage area and coordinate with other GBV actors in the woreda.Prepare and compile weekly and monthly reports and share with relevant stakeholders and immediate supervisors.Develop and implement individual case management planning for GBV survivorsEnsure regular follow-up of the implementation of the case plan for each clients.Coordinate with other Protection actors to coordinate the implementation of international and national standards and consideration of protection issues.Identify additional needs of the survivor and collaborate with other internal and external sectors to meet the needs of the survivor.Provide confidential referral based on the best interest of the survivor to other service providers as part ...
