Foreign Procurement (Import) Manager

About the Role

Hagbes Private Limited Company seeks an experienced Foreign Procurement (Import) Manager to oversee sourcing, supplier evaluation, and logistics operations in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. This position requires strategic oversight of foreign procurement activities and collaborative engagement with key stakeholders across shipping, customs, and financial institutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee sourcing, pre-qualification, and evaluation of suppliers in accordance with company standards
• Negotiate and collaborate with key stakeholders including shipping companies, transit and clearing agents, banks, insurance providers, and customs authorities to facilitate product delivery and ensure regulatory compliance
• Formulate foreign procurement, logistics, and transportation plans, strategies, and programs
• Establish effective communication channels to ensure timely product delivery using appropriate foreign procurement and logistics procedures
• Manage supplier contracts and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure contractual deliverables are met
• Address supplier complaints and concerns promptly and professionally
• Monitor market changes affecting supply and demand of foreign products and materials, and advise senior management on potential impacts
• Communicate job expectations clearly to Foreign Procurement and Logistics section staff
• Foster a productive and collaborative working environment within the department
• Lead, motivate, and inspire team members while facilitating their professional growth and development
