## Title: Communication Officer

Position Overview

Reports to: Communication Division, Strategy and Innovation Directorate

Location: Addis-Abeba, Ethiopia

Job Summary

To plan, capture, edit, and produce high-quality photo, video, and audiovisual content that supports the organization's communication objectives, promotes its services and products, and protects and enhances its corporate image. The position integrates camera operation and editing functions to ensure efficient, timely, and cost-effective multimedia production.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, and execute multimedia production activities in alignment with the organization's communication strategy and branding guidelines
  • Capture high-quality photographs and video footage for events, official ceremonies, conferences, press briefings, interviews, documentaries, training programs, and promotional campaigns
  • Conduct location assessments and prepare production setups, including camera positioning, lighting arrangements, sound configuration, and background composition
  • Ensure professional standards of framing, exposure, color balance, sound clarity, and visual composition during all recording sessions
  • Operate professional cameras, drones (where authorized), audio recording devices, lighting systems, and related multimedia equipment safely and effectively
  • Edit raw video, audio, and image materials into high-quality finished products suitable for broadcast, social media, websites, digital platforms, and internal communication channels
  • Perform post-production tasks including cutting, sequencing, color correction, color grading, audio balancing, noise reduction, subtitling, captioning, and visual enhancement
  • Design and integrate graphics, animations, lower-thirds, logos, transitions, subtitles, and sound effects in accordance with branding and editorial standards
  • Collaborate closely with the Communication Division, Marketing, and relevant departments to understand content needs, messaging priorities, and target audiences
  • Participate in content planning initiatives
