Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Cashier Accountant for our Tikur Anbessa Branch. In this role, you will manage cash transactions, maintain accurate financial records, and ensure compliance with accounting procedures and VAT regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Record credit sales and cash sales in the accounting system
- Collect bank documents and record customer payments in the system
- Issue cash receipt vouchers
- Reconcile VAT balances between the system, cash register machine, and manual invoices summary on a daily basis
- Report VAT reconciliation to the Senior Accountant (AR) daily
- Follow up on customer credit balances and report to Senior Accountant (AR) in a timely manner
- Process petty cash payments to requesters in accordance with company policy
- Submit petty cash settlement documents to the Accounts Payable team
- Request petty cash replenishment from the AP team as needed
- File and organize financial documents
- Perform customer account matching and reconciliation
- Deliver financial documents to customers promptly
- Prepare and submit reports as requested by AR and AP teams
- Assist with additional finance activities and ad-hoc tasks as assigned
- Escalate urgent matters to management when necessary
- Perform other duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor
