Position Overview

This is a full-time, on-site Senior Accountant role located in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The Senior Accountant will manage all accounting operations including billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, and provide counsel on budgetary controls. You will prepare financial forecasts and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
• Maintain general ledger and journal entries
• Oversee daily accounting activities and cash management
• Ensure timely payment of taxes and compliance with tax regulations
• Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff
• Conduct internal audits and assist with external audits
• Coordinate with banks, suppliers, and government bodies
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes
• Perform other finance-related tasks as assigned
