Position Overview

The Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) seeks an Emergency and Resilience Officer to join its office in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso. This is a fixed-term professional position at grade P-4, available for one year with possibility of extension.

Organizational Setting

FAO country offices, headed by an FAO Representative, assist governments in developing policies, programmes, and projects to achieve food security and reduce hunger and malnutrition. The organization supports the development of agricultural, fisheries, and forestry sectors while promoting sustainable use of environmental and natural resources.

Reporting Structure

The Emergency and Resilience Officer reports to the FAO Representative in Burkina Faso, under the functional guidance of the Emergency and Resilience Division (PSE).

• Lead and coordinate FAO's resilience initiatives
