DRC recruits 01 PS Delegate

About the Role

Danish Red Cross (DRC) is seeking an experienced Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) Delegate to support the implementation of basic and focused psychosocial support interventions in Burkina Faso. You will work in collaboration with Burkina Faso Red Cross (BFRC) to strengthen sustainable structures and develop capacity for designing, reviewing, and implementing MHPSS interventions.

Context

Burkina Faso is facing a complex humanitarian crisis characterized by growing armed group activities, inter-communal tensions, food insecurity, climate change impacts, and an unprecedented increase in internally displaced persons. DRC's engagement employs a Triple Nexus approach to adapt to the evolving context and humanitarian needs.

DRC has established a partnership agreement with Belgian Red Cross aimed at improving living conditions for internally displaced persons affected by conflicts in the Sahel and Centre-Nord regions, while developing BFRC capacities in MHPSS and strengthening collaboration between organizations.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop MHPSS activities and build sustainable capacity within BFRC to implement quality psychosocial support interventions
• Develop and adapt tools and materials for MHPSS implementation
• Design, plan, and supervise appropriate training programs for staff and volunteers
• Support BFRC in assessing needs, planning, development, implementation, monitoring, and review of MHPSS programs
• Provide technical assistance for the setup and quality assurance of MHPSS activities
• Offer institutional support to BFRC on establishing MHPSS structures and systems
• Support strategic development of MHPSS plans

Required Qualifications

• Fluency in English and French
• Proven experience in Mental Health and Psychosocial Support programming
• Experience in capacity building and institutional strengthening
