Chemonics recruits 01 Strategic Activity Development and Implementation Advisor

About the Position

Chemonics seeks a short-term Francophone strategic activity development and implementation advisor for the Office of Transition Initiatives (OTI) Burkina Faso Regional Program. This task order under the SWIFT IV IQC represents a quick-response mechanism to support activities that maintain and deepen stability in Burkina Faso, neighboring countries, and the broader Sahel region, including addressing the threat posed by violent extremist organizations.

Position Details

• Location: Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso
• Duration: Two to three months
• Travel: Regional offices in Dori, Fada N'gourma, and Ouahigouya as the security context allows
• Language: Francophone required

Program Overview

The program will implement quick-response activities aimed at maintaining and deepening stability in Burkina Faso, neighboring countries, and the broader Sahel region, with particular focus on addressing the threat posed by violent extremist organizations.

Key Capabilities Required

• Maintain close, daily collaboration with USAID/OTI in-country staff, including receiving programmatic and strategic direction from the client
• Ensure program implementation is in accordance with regulations, procedures, and specifications determined in the scope of work
• Maintain a strong grasp of the technical and regulatory compliance aspects of the program and be prepared to step in as needed to support the chief of party and other program staff
• Remain apprised of the evolution of the local political, legal, and economic situation and continuously adapt the program to fit this context
